9.Months.Old

Current Likes:  Standing up, musical toys, dancing to music, books, talking, swimming, being outside, baths and food (just like her daddy)!


Current Dislikes:  Being in a highchair/shopping cart for more than 20 minutes, things in her hair, getting out of the bath tub, and shoes. 


Milestones:  She is standing completely on her own for long periods of time.  AND she is taking small steps!!  The most she has taken so far is 5!!  YAY!    


Stats:  Payton is 17 pounds and 5 ounces (25th percentile) and 28 inches long (75th percentile)!


My Sweet Payton, 


I can't believe that it has been 9 months!  It's crazy to think how fast time has gone since me and your daddy found out we were gonna be parents.   You are developing such a sweet/fun personality.  We are very blessed with such a wonderful and easy baby!  You bring so much joy into our little family.  So what does life look like for you little one?  We have got a pretty great schedule going right now.  From about 3 months-7 months, you did not nap well but now you have become the best napper (and mommy loves it)!  You now take about two, 2-3 hour naps a day!  You sleep from about 8:30pm-8:00am and mommy is thrilled about that!!!  You love all kinds of food and are such a great eater!  You love carrots, peas, bananas, oatmeal, pears, and all meats (to name a few)!  You LOVE taking baths and playing with all your toys in the tub.  However, getting out of the tub is another story- its quite a fight every time.  You can wave, stand on your own, and take a few steps at a time by yourself.  You also have started dancing when you hear music play- cutest thing ever!!  Me and your daddy love you so much and are so proud to be your parents.  We pray for you everyday!  I pray that you will grow into a beautiful girl who comes to know Jesus.  I love that every day I get to be with you.  You are blessed to have a daddy work so hard so that I can be home with you most of the time!  AND you have the best meme and Uncle Aaron who watches you when mommy has to go into work.  Payton, you are one blessed and loved little girl.  We can't wait to watch you grow!! Love you!

My Big Girl

Payton is taking some MAJOR steps towards walking.  She is pulling up and taking a few steps at a time but she is getting good.  The longest stride was 5 steps!!  She is standing on her own all the time.  She is becoming so independent and curious!  I love watching her personality grow!  Can't wait to see what she does!!  I absolutely LOVE this stage of life.   If you want to see a video of her taking some of her first steps, check out my facebook!  I will post some pictures and more videos later in her 9 month post!

Meal Planning Monday

Trying to be more organized and efficient with money and grocery shopping I have decided to plan my meals every monday and post them so I can actually follow them :) Prayerfully I will follow...


Monday: Tilapia on a bed of rice, steamed veggies, and baked potato  

Tuesday: Tacos and chips/salsa

Wednesday: Enchiladas

So I realize I haven't updated in awhile...  I am not only working for my dad part time but I have now started working for Young Life part time as an office administrator.  So needless to say, I am one busy momma!  I have a few blog posts to finish and get up but its 12:30 and I am exhausted so this short little update will have to do!  A few things:

1.  Payton is 9 months.  We went for her check up and everything is great.  She is healthy and has hit every milestone she is suppose to at her age!  (I will post her 9 month blog later)!  Payton is starting to look so much like a big girl.  I was taking pictures of her the other day and as I was looking over them- it hit me!  She no longer looks like a baby!  Crazy/sad!

2.  I have started working for YL.  I am loving it so far and it will help our financial state out so much.  I have been around YL all my life (my parents are very invested in the ministry) and I love what they do and how they impact the students in the community!  I am honored to be working for such a wonderful organization who's goal is to reach those who don't know Jesus.

3.  My parents have been in China for the past 10 days and it has been killing me that I can't pick up and call them everyday!  I am so glad they will be back tomorrow!  I sure do miss them :)

4.  In the past 3 weeks, we have housesat and or dog sat for three different people!  So we have only been home a week and half this whole month- crazy!  Thankful to be back in our own bed!  

5.  Me and Jonny have started serving in the preschool room at church!  We are so excited to start serving together and finally getting plugged into our church (long overdue)!    

6.  SO glad football season is here!!  I love it :)  I love the fall so much- the trees, smells, football, pumpkin spice lattes, jackets, and cooler weather!  Hopefully the cooler weather will come soon cause this heat is horrible.  We watched the Cowboy's kick off their season with Donna and Scott!  Payton showed off her Cowboy shirt that Nanna and Papa gave her!

  

7.  I finally had In-and-out the other day!  It was delicious!!

Three Years

Yesterday, me and Jonny celebrated 3 years of marriage together.  It's crazy how fast time has gone by and continues to go by.  We have come so far since we stood on that stage and said our "I Do's".  We have had ups, we have had lows, we have laughed, cried, and have made many many memories!  We have moved, bought a house, started different jobs, and had a beautiful baby girl!  Its been a great 3 years and I can't wait for the rest of our lives to walk through life together!  May God be given all the glory!!

Current Likes:  Standing up. holding mommy's hand and walking around, eating, books, swimming, naps (YAY), dogs, stuffed animals and laughing!

Current Dislikes:  Fruits, being in a highchair for more than 20 minutes, juice, car seat, and laying down.   

Milestones:  She is crawling full on and starting to stand and cruise around furniture!  She is gonna start walking any day now.  I can feel it :)    

Stats:  17lbs 2oz!  One healthy baby girl :)
