Thankful #29

Day Twenty-Nine:  I am thankful for restful days at home.  Me and the girls didn't have any place to go today and it was so nice.  So thankful for rest.  I did have intentions of putting up Christmas decorations and cleaning the house but as you can tell from my picture below I didn't get very far lol.  There's always tomorrow.

Day Twenty-Eight:  11.28.13.  HAPPY THANKSGIVING!  Hope everyone had a wonderful thanksgiving.  Today I am thankful for so much- My Savior, grace, family, friends, a healthy body, good food, and so much more.  We had a busy day filled with family, food, and laughter.  We spent the morning with my dads side of the family, the afternoon with Jonny's side, and then the evening with my moms side.  It was also a bittersweet day.  We sure do miss Donna (Jonny's mom) so much and today it was felt even more.  Payton asked about Nana a lot and its so hard to tell her so often that shes with Jesus (cause she just doesn't understand).  I feel like my heart is breaking in two every time she asks.  Even through the sadness, we have so much to be thankful for.  And most of all the Hope we have in Christ.

I was not so good at taking pictures this year but here are a few:

Me and Maddie ran the Arlington Turkey Trot in the morning...  Running for our Grub :)

We found the Willmon's/Rickels there!

Love this man

Emmi wanted to take a picture with us.  Love this sweet girl

Day Twenty-Five:  Thankful that we got to have a Thanksgiving lunch with my grandmother.  She has Alzheimer's and is in a memory care home.  Thankful for the time we have been given with her!

Day Twenty-Six:  Thankful for date nights.  Doesn't happen often but we are thankful when it does happen.  We got to go to the Melting Pot and then saw Catching Fire.  So fun!

Thankful #24

Day Twenty-Four:  Thankful that my sweet husband was born 28 years ago.  I have been so blessed by his life.  Thankful for the man he is and continues to be for our family.  Not to mention he constantly makes me laugh :)  And I am also thankful for nights like these.  Chili on the stove, fire going, family time, movie and S'mores!  These people make my life better!!

Thankful #23

Day Twenty-Three:  Thankful for all our family and friends who came out to celebrate our sweet girls.  Their Minnie Mouse party turned out great.  The girls had so much fun and got lots of goodies.  Thankful for all the people who have loved on our family!  Here are a few pics of the party (more on that in a later post):

Thankful #21 and #22

Day Twenty-One:  I am thankful for a husbands who serves me so well.  Last Night I had a horrible headache so after dinner he tells me to go lay down. I woke up later that night so I could get things prepared for the next day and I find dishes done, kitchen clean, girls bathed and in bed, 3 loads of laundry folded, house picked up, Payton's lunch made and bag packed for school, and Kinsley's bag ready for tomorrow! He even wanted to get my workout bag ready for me but didn't know what to put in it.   And this isn't a rare thing- he is always going above and beyond for me and our family.  So blessed by his giving heart.

Day Twenty-Two:  I am thankful for my mom- for oh so many reasons.  First and foremost for her faith in the Lord.  She is a God seeking, fearing woman who always challenges and inspires me.  But over the past week she has helped me tremendously.  The girls birthday party is this weekend and she has done more than I could ever have asked.  She has shopped with me, watched the girls, helping clean my house, make food, and decorate.  She spent an hour washing my couch and carpets, cleaning up and helping get my playroom ready tonight.  She is not only super helpful but super talented.  She sowed me cushions for the bench, a reading tent for the girls, and a book sling (Pictures below)! She is just great :)

Book Sling.  Took a toy bin holder we already had and sowed fabric for the books!

Before we had the long book shelf that is standing up laying on the ground.  Thanks to my momma and awesome hubby we now have a bench, great storage, a place for artwork and cushions!

Picture of reading tent to come....  Have to hang it!

Thankful #18

Day Eighteen:  I am thankful for my healthy babies.  I follow so many blogs (some of people I know and some of ones I don't) about their precious little ones who are struggling and fighting to live.  My heart aches for them like nothing else.  So I am thankful for my girls health.  May I always remember and pray for the ones who are not and never take for granted the health my girls have been given.

Day Fifteen:  I am thankful for jobs.  Jonny and I have been blessed with great jobs!  We are very blessed to work with family and love what we do.  Jonny works in online sales for his cousin and I work two part time jobs- one for my dad and the other for YL.  We love what we do and are thankful to have work!

Day Fourteen:  I am thankful for days I get home with just me and Kinsley.  While Payton is at school, me and Kins get 5 hours of mommy and daughter time.  I LOVE spending time with just her.  I think its so important to spend some special time with each of them alone each week- and that can be challenging some times!  Thankful for this time!

Thankful #13

Day Thirteen:  I am thankful for hope.  We have had a lot of hard days lately and I am grateful for the promise we have in Christ.  For we do not grieve like a person without hope.  And I am clinging and leaning on that hope!

"Now may the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you believe in Him so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit."  Romans 15:13

"We do not want you to be uninformed, brothers, concerning those who are asleep, so that you will not grieve like the rest, who have no hope.  Since we believe that Jesus died and rose again, in the same way God will bring with Him those who have fallen asleep through Jesus."  1 Thessalonians 4:13-14

Happy Birthday Baby girl!

Yesterday our "baby" girl turned 3.  I can't believe that she is 3.  In some ways it seems like yesterday that we were bringing her home from the hospital and in others it seems like a life time ago.  We are so thankful and blessed by this sweet girl.  She was definitely a surprise and rocked our world- in the best possible way!  We are so in love and she is such a joy to our family.  Since we are having a big party for both Kins and Payton, we just kept it light on her birthday.  She woke up to some special donuts, a balloon, minnie mouse ears, and a small $1 toy.  She loved her donuts- daddy got them specially for her!  Mom and my Papa took her to lunch at Chick fil a (her favorite place to eat and play).  And then after dinner we had a small cake and sang happy birthday.  She was so excited all day that it was her birthday- she really enjoyed her day and we enjoyed celebrating her!  Her are some pictures of her day:

Yes, Jonny bought her a monster truck.... But she loved it

Sister wanted to try on the ears too

And then here are some pictures of the last 3 years:

Hearing your baby's heartbeat for the 1st is an unexplainable amazing thing!
