One Month

FINALLY posting Kinsley's one month post.  It's crazy it's already been a month!  Time is already going by too fast.  Kinsley has been such a good baby.  She has such a sweet spirit and rarely fusses. She is eating about 4oz every 3-4 hours!  She is really good at keeping her head up and following objects with her eyes.  Payton is already such a good sister.  At first, Payton really had no interest in Kinsley but each day she becomes more and more intrigued by her baby sister.  She loves holding her baby sister and giving her tons of kisses.

Current Likes:  Music, her swing, being swaddled, her big sister, being held, and baths.

Current Dislikes:  Being on her tummy for long periods of time, her bouncer, and getting changed.

Milestones:  She can hold her head up really well and grab toys that I put in her hand!

Stats:  9 pounds and 2 ounces (40th percentile) and 21 inches long (40th percentile)!  Doctor said she does have a big head though (something both girls get from their daddy)!

Firsts:  Smile, bath, time at church, and first cold :(

We love you baby girl and are so thankful for you!

HAPPY NEW YEARS

I can't believe 2012 has come and gone and another new year has begun.  Thankful God has given me another year.  This new years was not all that exciting.  I spent the night at home with my baby girls.  Payton and Kinsley have been sick so we stayed in and went to bed early so they can get better.  Of course Kinsley woke up around midnight to eat so we rang in the new year together.

As I was thinking about the goals I wanna set for 2013 I was having trouble coming up with some... I think the Lord is convicting me about 2 things.  He has been pressing these on me pretty hard and I want to focus 2013 and devoting myself to only these so that I can grow in my relationship with my Savior and in return become a better wife, mother, sister, daughter, and friend.

1.  Memorize the book of James.  I started this a few months ago and started out really strong.  I have the 1st chapter memorized but I am determined to memorize the whole book.  I feel like scripture memory is something I struggle with a lot and something that should be a part of every person who claims Jesus as their Savior.  The Lord has been convicting me to memorize more and so thats what I am gonna work on and do!

"How can a young person stay on the path of purity?
By living according to your word.
10
I seek you with all my heart;
do not let me stray from your commands.
11
I have hidden your word in my heart
that I might not sin against you."  Psalm 119:9-11

2.  Spend less time with social media stuff- this includes facebook, twitter, instagram, tv, ect....  I am not gonna totally stop but I feel like I spend way to much time on them- time I could be reading Gods word, enjoying family, ect...  I am not including blogging in this... I will still blog on a pretty regular basis.  This is something that I am constantly feeling conviction about.

SO heres to 2013.... May the Lord will bless you and your family this year.

How did I do in 2012??

2012 was a wonderful year!!  Lots of love, joy, tears, trials, and blessings.  God stretched us/our families in many ways.  Through it all God has remained the same.  He has been faithful and drawn us to HIm through it all.  I have seen Him work in mighty ways and He has moved my heart more and more.  Thankful for all He has done and can't wait to see how the Lord will move in 2013!

So how did I do in 2012 on my resolutions??  Lets just take a look.....

1.  Go on a mission trip.  Really really would love to do it this year.  I am going to a meeting for a trip to Africa at the end of January so we will see!!
***** I did!  I didn't end up in Africa but God allowed me to go to Alaska.  I went with my church (Rush Creek) in July.  It was such a great trip and God moved in some great ways!  I loved everything about the trip and the people I went with.  I am blessed to be a part of such a great church.

2.  Run a half marathon.  Me and my sister are running the Cowtown in February!  I have been doing well with training but it's still 2 months away so lets pray I continue to train well.
*****I did this one too :)  Me and Maddie ran the Cowtown in February!  I loved training and running with my sister.

3.  Go to bed earlier.  I am such a night owl (example:  its 11:15 and I am still awake).  I usually go to bed around 12:30-1 every night.  Payton usually sleeps till about 8/8:30 every day.  I would really like to start going to bed early so I can get up early.  I use Payton as my alarm clock and I would really love to be up and ready before she gets up!
*****Yeah I totally failed on this one!  I am such a night owl.  And now that I have a newborn- even more so.  I think my body is getting use to running on no sleep.

4.  Read more.  I really hate reading but Jonny keeps reading all these good books and I feel like I should join him.  Also, they keep coming out with movies about them!
*****I have read a little more but now as much as I would have liked.  But I did do better.

5.  Get pregnant.  Haha, but seriously.  Me and Jonny would like to welcome another Van Hoy by the end of the year.  (I AM NOT PREGNANT at the moment).  We are going to start trying after my half!
*****CHECK!!!  Kinsley Rene was born in November!  Best new years resolution!!!!

I did pretty well on my resolutions in 2012.... Bring on 2013 and all it has to offer!

Best of 2012

What a great year 2012 was!!  Here are the top 12 of 2012:

1.  My sister and I ran the Cowtown half marathon in February!  Of course Maddie destroyed me but I finished and ran 10 miles without stopping.  I ran/walked the last 3.1 miles.  Time:  2:40!  Didn't beat my time from the 1st one (2:23) but I was pleased with it.

2.  We got a membership to the little gym in the spring.  Payton LOVED it.  She always had a blast and loved climbing on everything.

3.  In April we found out we were pregnant with our second.

4.  We went with my family to Florida for a week of fun in the sun!!

5.  Lots of Ranger games.  4 to be exact!!  And Jonny even tried the Boomstick!

6.  Found out we were having a baby girl in July!!

7.  I went on a mission trip with my church to Alaska.

8.  Payton started "school" at Fielder Road.  She loves it!!

9.  In August, me and Jonny celebrated 4 years of marriage.  And oh how I love this man!

10.  In September, my big brother got married.  We love Kassi and Rian and are so gad they are in our family!!

11.  Payton turned two on November 11!!  We love our baby girl!

12.  And one of the best things:  Kinsley Rene was born on November 20th!!  And we are so blessed by her!  Oh, and we also moved into our new house!!!  (so technically thats 13 top of 2012)!

And I just had to share one last picture from 2012..... I love these two and this picture is one of my favorites

Christmas Take 2

We celebrated Christmas with Jonny's immediate family the Saturday after Christmas.  Payton loves playing with her cousins.  I didn't take that many pictures (I guess I got a little lazy) but here are the ones I did take.  Payton got so many toys this Christmas.  And I got lots of gift cards and money for our new house!!  More importantly it was so good to spend time with family and see the kids!!  They also got to see our new house and even helped move some boxes!  Blessed :)

Such good cousins
