Gym Class

Payton had her last gym class of the semester yesterday.  She loves her gym class.  She climbs on anything and everything!!  She does so good in the class.  To celebrate the last class they had juice and cookies for all the kiddos.  She will still be taking a class in the summer.  She loves it!!  

Summer 2012

So me and Payton started the day like every other day.  Woke up, ate some breakfast, got dressed, and then played for about an hour or two.  After our morning routine, we headed to Target and run some errands.  I decided to buy Payton a little car she can ride on (the one she sits ons and uses her legs to move along).  She has one at my parents and loves it and I have been wanting to get her one she can ride on our back porch.  Well, my mistake was grabbing the car first because once Payton saw me put it in the cart, it was all over.  She lost it.  She was so mad that she couldn't ride it right then.  So today in Target, I was that mom.  The one with the uncontrollable child that wouldn't stop screaming.  It's an awful feeling.  And man was she having a fit.  So I quickly gathered the few things I needed and headed to the check out.  I don't know if it was the combination of being frustrated, hot, and hungry but I felt like I was going to pass out.  I mean I was literally seeing black spots and could barely stand.  Thank-fully there was a sweet woman there who bought me water and helped me get Payton and my things to my car (after sitting down for a bit).  This made the situation with Payton even worse.  Needless to say, I went straight home and we both took a nap lol.  I am very thankful for the lady who took care of- she was so sweet.  I was humbled by her sweet spirit.  

I am so not looking forward to the heat this summer.  Thankfully, I won't be too pregnant in height of the heat.  I am looking forward to all the fun things we are going to do though.  I have started a "bucket list" of all the summer things me and Payton are going to do.  Or that me and Jonny are going to do.  And things I just wanna get done (even if they are not fun).  I am not sure if we will do all these things but I hope to.  We plan to spend a lot of time in the water and having fun!!

Florida 2012

Last week we spent a week in Destin with my family.  The weather was beautiful and it was a lot of fun.  I miss the beach for sure.  It was about a 12.5 hour drive.  Payton did Amazing on the way there and back.  I was really impressed.

Day One:  Travel.  We left Saturday about 5am.  Drove 9 hours to New Orleans.  Spent the evening seeing New Orleans and then woke up and drove the last 4 hours to Destin!

We finally arrived!!  

Day Two:  Sunday.  Unpacking, Shopping and about an hour on the beach.  We got to Destin at about 2, unpacked our stuff and then headed down to the beach to check it out.  We were about a 2 minute walk from the beach.  Our house was awesome!  Me, Jonny, and Payton got the master suite!  It was heavenly!

Payton HATED the sand and water the first day and a half.  But once we bought water shoes and she got use to walking on the sand- she was rolling in it

Day 3.  Monday.  We spent the whole day on the beach.  It was glorious.  We had a tent and baby pool set up for Donovan and Pay Pay.  The weather was perfect!  The night we spent playing games and watching movies!

Day 4:  Tuesday.  My dad and two brothers spent the morning golfing.  So the rest of the crew went down to the boardwalk and walked around, shopped, and ate some good seafood.  Then we spent the rest of the day on beach.  Maddie and Zach arrived that night.

Day 5:  Wednesday.  Another full day on the beach.  Soaking up the sun.  Payton was loving the water and sand today.

Day 6:  Thursday.  We rented a pontoon boat for the day.  We cruised around the bay and visited crab island.  The water was clear but the sand was brown so it wasn't so pretty to look at.  But we found tons of crabs and it was lots of fun!  That night we continued our family tradition of playing putt putt.  Of course, dad won!  Jonny left about 5 am Fridaay to make it in time for Brad's wedding.

Day 7:  Friday.  It was our last full day and of course we spent it at the beach.  The boys golfed in the morning and joined us at the beach after.  That evening we spent on the boardwalk.  There was music, entertainment, food, shops, train rides for the kids, and lots of fun stuff.

Saturday, we spent the morning/day shopping and then hit the road to head home.  We drove straight through and arrived in Arlington at about 2am.  Destin was a lot of fun and we had a great time!  It was fun to get the whole family together and do nothing but relax for the week.  Now, its back to reality!
