Christmas Time

Christmas was so great and busy!  I was excited to see how Payton would act about presents and such.  Last year, she was a month old and so tiny!  Anyways.... Friday, we spent Christmas with the Van Hoy side.  We opened presents with Jonny's family Friday night.  It was crazy but so fun!  The room was filled with presents.  Payton got so much (way more than she needs lol- my house is exploding with presents).  She didn't care much for opening the presents but she loved playing with the toys.  Although, she played with the boxes they came in most of the night- funny how it always happens that way?  It was great fun and so good to be with family!  We spent the night and opened more presents Christmas Eve morning with his Aunt and grandmother! Donna cooked a big breakfast!

Saturday, after breakfast at Scott and Donna's we went to the great wolf lodge to meet my family.  They had real snow and crafts!  We also had someone come out and take a family picture.  It turned out great.  After the lodge, we went and ate in downtown grapevine.  After lunch the boys went back home to watch football and the girls went shopping in down town grapevine.  It was all decked out for Christmas- it was great.  That night we spent at my grandparents house with my dads side of the family.  We do a white elephant exchange and eat a huge meal!  It was a busy day but so good- Payton was a champ!

Can you tell she likes the camera?

Christmas morning we spent in our home- just us 3!  Payton woke up about 8:30 (her usual time).  We put in Polar Express, opened presents and then headed to church.  After church, we went and ate at ihop with my mom, dad, and brother.  We spent the rest of the day at my parents with my moms side of the family.  My mom always make a huge Christmas dinner and we eat on fancy china and such.  Jonny;s parents joined us as well!  It was good.

Christmas day!
So many presents... One blessed little girl!

Christmas Cards

So I am slowly starting to put away my Christmas Decorations (and I mean really SLOWLY).  Today, I was putting all my Christmas cards away.  I am trying to think of a creative way to keep all the cards I get.  Right now they are sitting in a shoe box in a closet.  I have 3 years of cards saved.  I hate to throw them away because I love getting them and people put time and money in them!  I think I am going to get on pinterest and try and find something fun I can do with them.  Got any ideas??  This year, I decided (in effort to save money) to make my cards.  Although they were a bit time consuming, I am so glad I did it.  They were cheaper and turned out so cute!

I bought 2 packs of 50 count cards and envelopes at hobby lobby.  They were $10 but I got them 50% off so I only paid $5 each.

I bought 3 things of tree stickers and 2 things of snow flake stickers.  They were also 50% off.  I think maybe they were $1.20 each.  Total I spent like $8.

Me and my mom took Payton's picture ourselves and printed them at CVS.  They were having a deal and I got 50 free prints so I only paid $4.

I printed them myself and bought this snow-Tex stuff to do the front of them.  It was $3.77.  Worked so well and I only had to but one jar for all of them!

And here was the end product!!  I spent a total of $25.77 give or take a few dollars (plus stamps).  I sent out 65 cards- thats 39 cents a card!!!

Cowtown

So me and Jonny have decided to run in the Cowtown half marathon (again).  We ran in it two years ago (while I was pregnant) and did pretty well for our first half.  After I ran it, I swore I would never run another half marathon again haha... But here I am.  Jonny really wants to do it again so we are gonna train together and run together (although he is way faster than me so we won't be actually running together).  So my training starts tomorrow and I am already dreading it lol.  But I know it will be worth it in the end and it will help me get into a good regular workout!  So here we go....

This week we have completely gotten Payton off the bottle!  And I am LOVING not washing tons of bottles every day!  I mean I would so much rather change a million diapers than wash bottles- thats how much I hate it!  She doesn't even miss it- thank-you Lord it was an easy transition!  Now, if we could just get rid of her paci.  I think I am gonna wait till the new year because things are crazy because of the holidays.  But I think the paci is gonna be much harder than the bottle... Any suggestions??
