BIG NEWS!!!!

Yes, another Van Hoy is on it's way (well in about 7.5 months)!  We are so thrilled about our precious gift!  We have known for a month or so but wanted to wait until we saw the doctor before making the big announcement!  We just told our immediate family.  I am about to hit 10 weeks and the baby is about 1.22 inches big- so tiny!!  He/She had a strong heartbeat and looked great!  Payton has no idea, that in about 7.5 months, her world is gonna change dramatically!!  She is used to being spoiled for sure!  But I know she is gonna be a great big sister and love her baby brother/sister so much.  We are so excited for the new addition to our family- can't wait to meet our sweet baby.

What's going on with baby?  Your baby (now the size of a prune) has small indentations on his legs (soon to be knees and ankles!), and his tiny arms even have elbows that bend (how is that for magical?). Inside that little mouth, tiny buds of baby teeth are forming under the gums. His stomach and kidneys are kicking into gear, producing digestive juices and urine, and if it's a boy, his testes are making testosterone (how manly!).

Stats:
Baby's Size:  Prune (1.22 inches and .14oz)
Baby's heartbeat:  168bpm strong and healthy!  We got to see our little bean today too!
Momma's weight:  134lbs
Weight Gain:  None
Days to go:  30 weeks!!!

p.s.  I will probably be posting a lot of baby/pregnancy posts in the future- just fair warning!!

My Husband Rocks

So my husband is pretty much the best guy in the world.  He said he was getting me something amazing for my birthday this year- for months he would go on and on about how it was going to be the best thing ever- and he did NOT disappoint.  He told me to put some things together for me and Payton cause we were going to be staying at my parents house for a few days.  Well, a few days turned into 2 1/2 weeks lol. So I knew he was doing something to our house- just didn't know what.  For 2 1/2 weeks Jonny would wake up at 6:45am and go to work till 5 then head immediately to our house and work till midnight.  He worked so hard to get this done quickly for me.  So what did he do??  He totally remodeled our one and only bathroom!!  Totally gutted it and started over.  He did everything (apart from the plumbing) by himself- laid the tile, painted, floor, put in the sink, tub and ect...  He even saved and worked for the money to do so it didn't come out of our bank!  It looks beyond amazing!!!  And it's exactly what I would have picked out myself.  He even got me a Jacuzzi tub because I love to take baths!  He worked so hard and did everything so professionally.  Our bathroom before was straight out of the 50's!  Tile with seashells and turtles on it and a floor that was awful!

But now our bathroom is stunning and I LOVE it!  Having one bathroom can be frustrating at times but it makes it so much better when it is beautiful!  It's not 100% done- a few things still need to be done but we can use it and it's getting there!

Yeah- he did all that tile himself!

There is a glass shelf to be added in that box

My camera made the floor look a weird color but it's beautiful!

Love this!!

So thankful for a man who works so hard and is constantly thinking of me!  He did such an amazing job and I am so blessed.  My mom and brother helped Jonny out doing the remodel and I am so thankful for that as well- because I don't think I would be back in my house yet lol.  My mom is amazing and continues helps me so much- I love her!  She also bought my new shower curtain and towels for my birthday!  Also, I am so thankful for Paige, my mom, Ingrid, Cherie, and Michelle who cleaned my house from top to bottom when Jonny was all done.  There was no dust anywhere!!  So thankful for these ladies and all they have done for me and my family.  God has blessed me indeed.

Ranger Game

So I turned 25 this year and my best friend, Joanna took me to a Ranger Game to celebrate!  She got us AMAING seats.  We were right behind the rangers dugout!  It was perfect.  The weather was amazing- 65 the whole game.  And we won!! 5-0!!!  So thankful for her friendship and all she does!  She is so great and I am going to greatly miss her when she moves to Lubbock!  Thanks for a great birthday girl!

Yuuu!!

April 3

What a 25th birthday I had this year!  My birthday was Tuesday, April 3rd- the day when DFW was hit with tornados and crazy storms.  The day started with beautiful flowers my in-laws sent me
Then, my mom took me and Payton to lunch at black-eyed-pea!  We were there for a few hours watching the storms come so close to our house.  They almost made us get in the freezer but thankfully it didn't get to us!  After the storm seemed to be passed us, we headed back to my mom's house where we spent another 40 minutes in the laundry room.  The tornado came within 6 miles of our house and 3 miles of my parents.  My grandparents yard was destroyed- tornado went right through it!  You see stuff like this on the news all the time but it's so different seeing it firsthand.  So saddened but so many people who lost everything!  Thankful everyone was ok!

He is Risen.

I hope everyone had a great Easter weekend!  I didn't take very many pictures this year.  Not only am I terrible about taking pictures- Payton does not like to pose whatsoever.  Seriously, I can never get the girl to look at the camera.  Saturday, me, Payton, and my mom attended our church picnic.  We didn't stay too long because it was around Payton's nap time and pretty warm outside.  Payton didn't really go crazy with the easter egg hunt.  She focused on about 4 eggs and would put them in her basket and take them out- over and over again!  When you're 16 months old- its not about whats in the egg but the hunt itself!  Sunday, we went to our church's easter service (which was wonderful) and then headed to LakeWood Country club to have lunch with my dad's side of the family (a tradition).  After lunch we went back to my parents house to watch the Masters (aka nap!).  Growing up, my parents always focussed on what Easter is really about- Jesus!  My parents didn't take us to see the Easter bunny or put huge emphasis on baskets and egg hunts.  They took much time and used creative ways to show us what Easter was all about.  Not that bunny, candy, and eggs are bad but I am so thankful that they put so much effort in explaining God's love.  Something I want to continue with my children!!  Because we live and have hope because He died and rose again!!!
