2014: A Year in Review

Hope everyone one had fun ringing in the new year.  I can't believe another year is in the books.  2014 was good to us.  There was good and bad, happy and sad, joy and tears.  But something that never changes year after year is God's faithfulness in our lives.  Circumstances change daily but through everything, He is our rock, our peace, and has drawn us closer to himself.  God has given us so much and have challenged us in many ways.  We are thankful for it all.  He has grown our marriage and family.  May He be given all the glory.  Here is a recap of 2014 (you can click on the words that are underlined to see original post):

January
January we celebrated Ben and Lydia's birthday, Payton got her first haircut, and I started training for my half marathon.

February we celebrated valentines day with a movie and Del Friscos.  Celebrated my grammy's birthday.  And Jonny built a retaining wall and a play ground pad for the girls swing set.

March was busy with work and life but we enjoyed park times, snuggles, family birthdays, and late nights at home!  I even got a weekend away to visit my bestie in Lubbock.

Easter, Half Marathon, trips with friends and Ranger Games!

Me and the girls headed to California with Lydia and my parents.  We got to spend a week with my Aunt and her granddaughter Elli (who is 2 years older than Payton).  And Jonny got a week to himself!

It was a summer of goodbyes, change, laughter and fun.  It was super busy and we were always on the go.  But it was lots of fun.  My parents moved, we said goodbye to Lydia, I ran my first triathlon, Ben got baptized, and I went on a mission trip to Alaska.  Every other free moment was spent swimming or having summer fun.  We also enjoyed a wonderful fourth :)

We took a family vacation to Branson, celebrated 6 years of marriage, the girls started school, and a new semester of work geared up.

Me and Jonny ran a triathlon, Christina got baptized, and we were able to get some rest :)

We celebrated fall in all its form.  We watched a lot of college football, pumpkin patches, hay rides, carved pumpkins, bonfires, made smores, park time, fall festivals and spent a lot of time outdoors.  I also took a girls trip to Arkansas with Jonny's moms side of the family.

November
I ran another half- and crushed it :)  The girls turned 2 and 4, Jonny celebrated his 29th birthday, I ran the turkey trot, we did the great turkey give away with our church, had a wonderful thanksgiving, took family pictures, and we also had lots and lots of family time :)

We had a great Christmas holiday- looking at lights, decorating, seeing Santa, being with family, Christmas programs, and celebrating our Lord!!!

What a wonderful year 2014 has been.  Thank You Jesus for all the many blessings you have given us.  For the good and the bad.  Through everything we give YOU praise.

"Though the fig tree does not bud and there are no grapes on the vines, though the olive crop fails and the fields produce no food, though there are no sheep in the pen and no cattle in the stalls, yet I will rejoice in the Lord, I will be joyful in God my Savior. The Sovereign Lord is my strength; he makes my feet like the feet of a deer, he enables me to tread on the heights." Habakkuk 3:17-19
