15 Months

Payton is now 15 months!!  I can't believe it!  She is full of attitude and spunk but has a very sweet side of her.  She is learning so much each day and I am so thankful I get to watch her grow everyday.  We went to our last monthly check-up.  Now, we will go once every year!  She has finally broken the 20 pound mark.  She is 21lbs.  She is in the 25% for weight and in the 75% for height.  She is healthy and developing like she should.  So thankful for a healthy baby girl!

Current Likes:  She absolutely loves being outside.  She could spend all day outside.  She is definitely a daddy's girl- she loves her daddy so much.  She loves to play with her dora backpack, read books, her little people school bus, and taking bathes.  She loves to change her clothes often and help dress herself.

Current Dislikes:  She is a bit of a picky eater.  She doesn't like most fruits and won't touch any meat whatsoever (our biggest struggle right now).  She still doesn't like the car seat.

Milestones:  She is running, talking, and jumping.  She can only say about 4 words right now but she understands so much.  She can also sign about 3 words!  She can point to body parts when you ask her.  She is pretty smart :)

Cowtown

Well I did it!  I completed my second half marathon!  It was a beautiful day in Fort Worth.  The weather was perfect!  I am a little disappointed in my time but I didn't stop running until I hit mile 10 and for that I am proud of myself.  The last 3.1 miles were pretty rough.  I ran/walked them.  And there were quite a bit of hills the last 3 miles- which were no fun.  My body was hurting pretty bad at mile 10.  But until then I felt pretty good.  And I am glad it's over!!  My time was 2:40.  Last year I ran a 2:23 and I was hoping for around there but oh well... Maybe next time!  Now, I am home on the couch curling up next to my hubby and watching a movie :)  It was a good day!

 On the home stretch
My biggest supporter- love them more than anything!
My training buddy- she smoked me!
Around mile 8 maybe.... Running through the stock yards!

Pinterest Project

My latest Pinterest project.  I have finally completed something I pinned:
I absolutely LOVE it.  I wish I had better handwriting but I still love it.  The picture makes it look really bright and golden but the canvas is a dark grey!  Payton didn't didn't like the paint on her hands and feet at all- it was like pulling teeth but it turned out well considering!

Book

So I don't read very much.  Honestly, I just don't like it.  I wish I liked to read more but I just can't get into it.  Outside of the Bible, I have to really force myself to read a book every once in awhile.  I have a list of parenting books that I am trying to make myself get through lol.  However, every now and then I find a book I can't put down- its rare but it does happen.  I have been hearing about this book, I Will Carry You, for awhile.  I decided to buy it and give it a try.  I finished it in two days.  I couldn't put it down.  It is a very touching story.  Fair Warning- it will make you cry.  I sobbed the WHOLE way through the book.  It is a great story of faith, joy and grief!  I definitely recommend it!
