Swim Lessons

Payton started her swim lessons this week.  I was pretty excited about doing swim lessons this summer. I thought she would do well- she loves the water so much.  But I was quite mistaken.  Yestereday was the first day and she screamed the ENTIRE time and I do mean the ENTIRE time.  She was very afraid and wanted no part in them.  Today, was much much better.  She sill cried but she did everything the teacher asked.   She even floated on her back and went under water for me.  She is still pretty uncomfortable but hopefully each day will be better.  Jonny is gonna be in the water with her tomorrow and I think that will help a lot too and then I can take some pictures!  Here are a few I snapped before on my phone!

Kinsley: 8 Months

Kinsley is 8 months old.  I CAN'T believe it.  She is growing up so fast.  I was looking back at Payton's 8 month pictures today- they look so different (Payton had a lot more hair)!  Kinsley is such a joy to our little family.  She loves her swing, watching big sister play, swimming, going for car rides, and bath time.  She is constantly laughing and smiling.  She is such a good baby and barely makes a fuss.  She is almost crawling but not quite there.  She is standing on her own and can almost pull her self up.  She can sit by herself, pick up toys, pass them from hand to hand, and clap her hands!  She is getting around by rolling- she loves to roll from one side of the room to the other.  She knows when we leave the room and doesn't like it :)  This month we have started giving the girls baths together (goodbye baby tub) and the girls LOVE it.  They laugh and play the whole time.  I love it!  We are so thankful for you baby girl!

24 Day Challenge

My 24 day challenge has come to a close- I made it :)  Thursday was my last day.  It was a challenge for sure.  It was hard to give up sweets and caffeine but definitely worth it.  I lost a total of 7lbs and a total of 5.5 inches in my hips, waist, and thighs!  I haven't had a coke, coffee, or chocolate in 24 days (CRAZY- I have never gone this long without coke in my life).  I definitely have more energy, feel better, and my clothes fit so much better.  I am gonna continue to cut out caffeine and most sweets, eat healthier and at home, and no fast food as best I can!  I love feeling healthier and having more energy.  And this challenge has definitely helped me focus and be more aware of what I am putting in my body and changing it for the better.  As for my fast- it went so well.  God really used the time to change a lot in my heart, convict me of some things, and draw me closer to Him.  God has been showing me a lot about discipline (body, spirit, and mind), being above reproach, and being set a part from the world.  Showing me what it looks like to be a believer in the world today.  Standing firm in the truth of the word and not compromising on what the Bible says is right and wrong.  As I have mentioned before, I have been studying in 1 Corinthians for awhile.    1 Corinthians talks a lot about the divisions in the body of Christ and how to run the race marked for us for the glory of God. And I have been loving it and learning so much.  So this fast has taught me so much.  Made me realize so much.  Its sad when the day goes by and I look back and see opportunities I have missed because my focus and time is not on the Lord.  My fast was so very eye opening about how I spend my time- how many times I check my facebook, pitnterest or twiiter.  How much I depended on these things.  How many things I miss out on with my girls cause I am on my phone.  It has been a great 24 day fast.  And so where do I go from here?  I have decided to delete my facebook and pinterest apps off my phone and to really limit my use of these things (the Lord has definitely been turning my desire away and helping me with this since my fast ended 2 days ago).  I will mainly use them to keep family updated with our lives- pictures of the girls and such.  So I am so thankful for a God who loves me and disciplines me.  A God who continues to work on my heart- even when I am unfaithful or fail.  Thankful for a God who never gives up on me and everyday shows me something new about HIs power, love, and mercy.  What a great and mighty God we serve!!

Thank-you for listening to my heart and how the Lord is working.  Have a blessed Sunday!

Today, Hils, Hannah, me and the girls headed to Granbury to meet Chels and Brady.  We ate at Babes, shopped around the square, and got some ice cream.  We had so much fun.  I love spending time with them- such blessings!  I wished we all lived a lot closer.

I love these girls!

Happy Fourth!!! (part three)

After spending the day at my parents we went to the Willmon's.  Payton swam for a bit, we ate dinner, and then headed out on the boat to watch the fireworks.  Hils came into town too!!  We had lots of fun. The girls were troopers and did well.  They were up again way past their bedtime so they did so good considering they were exhausted- no naps and all.  The fireworks scared Payton and she spent the whole time hugging her daddy- she didn't look at a single firework.  Kinsley screamed at first and so we tried to hide her from the noise but it turned out all she wanted to do was look at them because once I sat her in my lap looking at the fireworks- she was silent.  The fireworks were awesome and we were so close!  They were pretty much right above our heads- they were soooo loud.  Thankful for great friends!!  We had so much fun!

Love these girls so much!!

Happy Fourth!! (part two)

The day of the fourth we spent at my parents house swimming, eating, playing croquet, and having fun!    Everyone was there but Ryan, Kassie and little Rian (missed you guys).  We had lots of fun and the girls loved it!  And I actually took pictures... So enjoy:
